چکیده

This study aimed to evaluate the clinical outcomes and frequency of return sport after arthroscopic repair a humeral avulsion inferior glenohumeral ligament (HAGL) lesion. Web Science, Scopus, Medline via PubMed OVID were searched identify relevant citations. Screening data extraction performed independently. The Comprehensive Meta-Analysis software was used for all statistical analyses (CMA; USA version 3.3.070). A total 18 articles (n = 832 patients; whom, 379 patients had HAGL) included. fixed-effect estimate showed that percentage who returned their sports 89.1% (95% CI 85% 92.2%). mean duration estimated be 6.65 months 5.10 8.20). Postoperatively, Western Ontario Shoulder Instability Index (WOSI), Oxford Score (OSIS), Subjective Value (SSV) scores 88.60 86.18 90.98), 15.02 7.42 22.63), 86.90 80.79 93.00), respectively. Rowe score improved significantly postoperatively with difference (MD) 54.47 39.28 69.66). University California - Los Angeles (UCLA) shoulder increased post-arthroscopic (MD 10.91, 95% 10.07 11.76). current evidence suggests HAGL lesions is associated high score, WOSI, UCLA OSIS scale, SSV score. quality included studies moderate; however, these findings are promising call further multicenter, prospective studies.

Arthroscopic Repair of Humeral Avulsion of the Glenohumeral Ligament Lesion

Humeral avulsion of the glenohumeral ligament (HAGL) is a lesion associated with anterior shoulder instability. Although uncommon, HAGL lesions are a significant contributor to shoulder pain and dysfunction and, if missed, can even be a cause of failed Bankart repair. HAGL lesions should generally be repaired surgically; however, given their low prevalence, there is no consensus on the optimal ...

Arthroscopic Repair of Anterior Humeral Avulsion of the Glenohumeral Ligaments

Traumatic anterior shoulder dislocation produces injury to the anterior glenohumeral ligament complex. Most commonly, this capsuloligamentous complex is torn off the anteroinferior glenoid neck (Bankart lesion). Creation of a humeral avulsion of the glenohumeral ligaments (HAGL lesion) is a much less common pathological result. Failure to identify and appropriately treat this entity frequently ...

Humeral avulsion of the glenohumeral ligament: injury pattern and arthroscopic repair techniques.

The arthroscopic treatment of a humeral avulsion of the glenohumeral ligaments lesion allows for a safe, reproducible, and effective way to reestablish the inferior glenohumeral ligament and capsular complex to the humerus.

Humeral Avulsion of the Glenohumeral Ligament: Indications for Surgical Treatment and Outcomes—A Systematic Review

BACKGROUND The inferior glenohumeral ligament, the most important static anterior stabilizer of the shoulder, becomes disrupted in humeral avulsion of the glenohumeral ligament (HAGL) lesions. Unfortunately, HAGL lesions commonly go unrecognized. A missed HAGL during an index operation to treat anterior shoulder instability may lead to persistent instability. Currently, there are no large studi...

Concomitant Reverse Hill-Sachs Lesion and Posterior Humeral Avulsion of the Glenohumeral Ligament: Treatment With Fresh Talus Osteochondral Allograft and Arthroscopic Posterior Humeral Avulsion of the Glenohumeral Ligament and Labrum Repair

Chronic posterior glenohumeral joint instability can be a challenging clinical entity for patients and surgeons alike. In the setting of a posterior dislocation, a large anterior humeral impaction injury (reverse Hill-Sachs [HS]) may occur, leading to engagement of the humerus with the posterior glenoid bone, especially during internal rotation of the joint. A reverse HS is especially debilitat...
